In the previous lecture, we illustrated three basic translation techniques - examples of translations, additions and deletions. From this talk onwards, we will continue to use more examples to illustrate the specific use of these three techniques. Whether a translator is successful or not depends on whether the translator correctly understands the original premise, or not, and can use the three techniques of transformation, addition and subtraction. The book that explicates translation theory often lists many specific technical details, but we think that the three transformations: “transformation ”, “addition ” and “deletion ” basically summarize them.
