2月25日,两件原本从中国掠夺的铜兽首以近3590万美元(不含佣金)的总价被拍卖。此前中国曾表示强烈抗议要求停止拍卖,但却徒劳,法律诉讼也以失败告终。
On February 25, two bronze beasts originally plundering China from China were auctioned for a total of nearly 35.9 million U.S. dollars (without commission). China had previously expressed strong protest to stop the auction, but in vain, legal proceedings also ended in failure.
