近年的中国当代艺术领域有这样一个现象:艺术家开始兼任批评家、策展人,而批评家则拿起画笔纷纷开办画展,进入创作实践者行列。理论与实践间的相互跨界,一时成为主流甚至时尚。然而对于理论与实践的关系向来业内有一个秘而不宣的观点,即艺术实践者往往认为理论研究人员不懂创作。但另一方面,理论研究人员又认为理论对实践具有指导性作用。其实,艺术领域中理论与实践的跨界现象正是全球多元文化发展中的一个重要趋势。只是在这个过程中,跨界究竟是一种艺术创作的手段,还是市场利益驱使下的短暂风潮?在跨界的过程中,各学科原本的评判标准是否会发生改变?跨界为学科的发展提供了一个新的方向还是会动摇原有学科的独立性?
In recent years, there is such a phenomenon in the field of Chinese contemporary art that artists began to act as critics and curators, while critics took up the brush and set up exhibitions in order to enter the ranks of creative practitioners.
