Since liquefaction takes place at the final stage of increasing pore water pressure under dynamic loading, establishing a method for predicting pore water pressure is very important for determining the liquefaction of soil. On the basis of extensive study of the Otai Warsaw (Shi Qiaoyong Fu et al., 1977), the authors established a formula for predicting pore water pressure rise in saturated sand under uniform periodic shocks.
