In economically developed countries, there are mainly two types of agencies that specialize in technology transfer. One is intermediary agencies engaged in technical mediation, such as the French National Research Achievement Promotion Bureau, Japan Technology Exchange, and the British Technology Group. They use government funds. To help companies and scientific institutions conduct technology transfer and technology applications. The other type is a substantive scientific research institute with the purpose of technology transfer, the most typical of which is the Ferenhaeg Society of the Federal Republic of Germany. In 1988, the mission of the Institute was to develop technology according to the needs of the company. The current emphasis will be on the Japanese technology exchange as an example to analyze the organizational structure, functions, and operating methods of the intermediary agencies engaged in technology.
