Objective: To investigate the expression of serum biomarkers carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125) and chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4) in adult acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Methods: From August 2010 to May 2015, 45 adult patients with ALL who were hospitalized were selected as the ALL group. Forty-five healthy adults were selected as the control group during the same period. The expression of CA125 and CXCR4 in both groups were analyzed and the correlation was analyzed. Results: The expression of CA125 in ALL group was (75.98 ± 10.34) U / ml, and the positive expression rate was 86.7% (39/45) in ALL group compared with 10.23 ± 3.67 U / ml and 8.9% ). The expression of CXCR4 in ALL group was (65.33 ± 2.34)% and the positive rate was 86.7% (41/45) in the control group, while it was (20.11 ± 4.11)% and 8.9% (9/45) in the control group The difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). In ALL patients, the positive rate of CXCR4 in CA125 positive group was 100.0%, while the positive rate of CXCR4 in CA125 negative group was 33.3%, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05); The linear analysis showed that the correlation between CA125 level and immunophenotyping, The clinical risk, the number of extranodal lesions and the leukocyte level were significantly correlated (P <0.05). CXCR4 also showed significant correlation with the immunophenotyping, clinical risk, the number of extranodal lesions and lymphocyte level (P <0.05) . CONCLUSION: Serum biomarkers CA125 and CXCR4 are highly expressed in adult ALL and may affect each other. The serum CA125 and CXCR4 are significantly correlated with clinical conditions and may be used as one of the reference indexes for predicting the prognosis of ALL.
