张榕同志1997年8月28日因患肺栓塞抢救无效,在北京逝世。我们突然失去一位共事数十年的老战友,感到无比悲痛。张榕同志出生在山东沂水县的一个农民家庭。沂水县地处著名的革命老根据地沂蒙山区,在抗日战争和解放战争中敌我斗争残酷激烈,山区人民作出了重大的牺牲和贡献。张榕同志在高小和中学上学时,受过老师的革命启蒙教育,读过鲁迅、郭沫若、茅盾的著作,对党有初步认识。当抗日的烽火燃烧 Comrade Zhang Rong died in Beijing on August 28, 1997, as a result of invalid treatment for pulmonary embolism. Yishui County is located in Yimeng Mountain, a well-known old revolutionary base area. During the Anti-Japanese War and the War of Liberation, the struggle between the enemy and ourselves was brutally fierce. The people in the mountainous areas made major sacrifices and contributions. Comrade Zhang Rong, who was educated by the teachers in his early years of high school and high school, had read the writings of Lu Xun, Guo Moruo and Mao Dun and had a preliminary understanding of the party.
