The SOLAS Convention is the most important convention among the various international conventions concerning the safety of life at sea. It covers all aspects related to ships and maritime transport. Since the first SOLAS Convention was signed in 1914, subsequent SOLAS Conventions and Amendments have been based on technical amendments, and the now-simple and simple structures and equipment have been extended to the operational requirements of personnel, Company and ship safety management requirements. At its 89th MSC meeting in May 2011, a new SOLAS amendment was adopted, some of which were amended and the text of the amendment was published in the current issue.
