Meropenem(SM—7338)是一个新的碳青霉烯抗生素。有报告认为该药抑制流感嗜血菌的浓度比Imipenem更低。β—内酰胺抗生素在流感嗜血菌培养中诱发原生质球形成起重要作用,培养中形成大量原生质球的细菌形态学改变,导致因细胞壁缺损而光密度升高。这种细胞在几个小时内保持活力。因此,可以应用相差显微镜、杀菌曲线和浊度测定加以监测,比较Meropenem和Imipenem对5株产生β—内酰胺酶流感嗜血菌的抗菌活性。
Meropenem (SM-7338) is a new carbapenem antibiotic. It is reported that the drug inhibits the concentration of Haemophilus influenzae lower than Imipenem. [beta] -lactam antibiotics have an important role in inducing spheroplast formation in H. influenzae cultures, resulting in morphological changes in bacteria that form large numbers of spheroplasts during culture, resulting in increased optical density due to cell wall defects. The cells stay active for hours. Therefore, phase contrast microscopy, bactericidal curves and turbidimetric assays can be used to monitor the antibacterial activity of Meropenem and Imipenem against 5 strains producing the β-lactamase-producing Haemophilus influenzae.
