“和同之辩”是中国传统哲学中的重要问题。它表现出了当时的哲学思辨水平,推动了中国传统哲学的发展。“和而不同”的主张是在继承和发展史伯、晏婴“和同之辩”的基础上提出的新命题。“和而不同”充满着朴素的辩证因素,并上升到人生哲理高度,显示出深刻的理论意义。时至今天,“和而不同”对促进祖国和平统一、实现人与自然和谐、推动21世纪人类和平与发展仍具有重要的理论启示和借鉴价值。
