The Evan people, one of the Soviet Union’s minorities, are second only to the Avengers, formerly known as the Tungus. There are now over 12,000 Egyptians living in the northern part of the Sea of Okhotsk and in the Autonomous Yakutia, the Chukchi Peninsula and the Kamchatka Peninsula. There has been a lot of information about the ethnic minorities in our national ethnography, but there is not yet a monograph on the life of the Egyptians. The introduction of the Ramotex, written by prominent Russian linguist, writer and ethnologist B · · Bogoras, was the only article before the revolution about the Evan who lived in the Kolyma-Omoron region 1900).
