思想政治工作是我们党的优良传统和政治优势,是我们党领导革命和建设,进行伟大政治斗争的中心环节,是经济工作和其他一切工作的生命线。改革开放以来的实践一再证明,越是改革开放,越要重视思想政治工作;越是处于社会变革时期,越要加强和改进思想政治工作。而问题的关键是怎样重视、加强和改进思想政治工作。江泽民同志指出:创新是一个民族进步的灵魂,是一个国家兴旺发达的不竭动力。创新同样也是思想政治工作的灵魂,是思想政治工作的生命力之所在。
Ideological and political work is the fine tradition and political superiority of our party, the central link of our party in leading the revolution and construction and in carrying out the great political struggle, and is the lifeline of economic work and all other work. The practice since the reform and opening up has repeatedly proved that the more we reform and opening up, the more we must attach importance to ideological and political work; the more we are in the period of social change, the more we must strengthen and improve ideological and political work. The key issue is how to attach importance to strengthening and improving ideological and political work. Comrade Jiang Zemin pointed out: Innovation is the soul of a nation’s progress and an inexhaustible motive force for the prosperity and development of a country. Innovation is also the soul of ideological and political work as well as the vitality of ideological and political work.
