In addition to following the basic principles of general surgery, radical surgery of gastrointestinal malignancies, there is another prominent feature, is “tumor-free technology ”. This concept first proposed by Cole et al in 1954 refers to a series of measures taken to reduce or prevent the shedding, planting and spreading of cancer cells in the surgical operation of malignant tumors. The purpose of this concept is to prevent cancer cells along the bloodstream , Lymphatic spread, the second is to prevent the cultivation of cancer cells. Numerous studies have demonstrated that strict tumor-free techniques that minimize or prevent iatrogenic dissemination of cancer cells are crucial to the success of surgery [1-2].
