Objective To investigate the relationship between ADHD and sleep disorders in 1,100 children in Lanzhou and to understand the relationship between them and their comorbidity. Methods A questionnaire was collected from 5 to 13-year-old children in Lanzhou city. The questionnaires were collected from the Conners Symptomatic Symptom Questionnaire (ASQ) and children’s sleep conditions. The total score of ASQ ≥15 was taken as the observation group. Control group. Results The average sleep time of children in this area was (8.78 ± 2.82) h. The sleep problems mainly included nightmare (13.8%), sleepwalking (0.9%), awakening difficulty (17.3%), bed wetting (4.8% ), False sleep (11.9%), more dreams (24.3%), the prevalence of ADHD in children in this region was 9.1%. Men than women, the difference was statistically significant. The incidence of co-morbidity between ADHD and sleep disorders was 8.8%. The incidence of sleep disorders in children with ADHD was higher than that in the control group, the sleep time in children with ADHD was 8.12 ± 0.87 h, while that in the control group was (8.88 ± 2.97) h, the difference was statistically significant. The ASQ index was correlated with the academic performance, sleep time Negative correlation, and nightmares, sleep is not real correlation. Conclusion There are more sleep problems in attention deficit hyperactivity children, and the two affect each other.
