空气钻进方法是现有的最先进的高效率的一种钻进工艺方法。这种方法是应用气体代替水或泥浆来冲洗钻孔的孔底、冷却钻头并将所钻取的岩粉等返出孔外。这种新的钻进工艺方法,近二十年以来逐步在各工业发达国家中得以应用(在美国和加拿大最为普遍),而近十年多来的水文地质钻探和凿井工程(如美国的 T-4W型、罗马尼亚的FA-10型水井钻机)亦越来越多地应用了空气钻进方法,特别是风动潜孔锤钻进方法(如美国、瑞典、比利时等国)。一、空气钻进法较一般(泥浆钻进)法有如下主要优点:1.钻进效率高,最高达10倍以上;2.钻头寿命长,最高延长10倍以上;3.免除使用泥浆的一系列工作,钻机安装简便化,尤其适于在缺水,无水或冻土地区以及漏水地层钻进。钻进效率提高和钻头寿命增长的原因是孔底岩石表面无液静压力,而且岩石是在相
