九年义务教育全日制初级中学《数学教学大纲》(试用)强调“要考查学生的能力,包括解决简单的实际问题的能力”,通过解决实际问题,使学生“形成用数学的意识”。并指出:“在教学中,要注意从学生所熟悉的生活、生产和其他学科的实际问题出发,进行观察、比较、分析、综合、抽象、概括和必要的逻辑推理,得出数学概念和规律,使学生受到把实际问题抽象成数学问题的训练。在此基础上,引导学生把数学知识运用到生活和生产的实际、包括商品经济的实际中去,”贯彻新大纲的上述要求,是“素质教育”的需要。近年来“用数学”试题相继问世,这一新举措,应当引起我们的高度重视。
