邵式平是赣东北苏区和红十军以及闽赣省苏区的创建人之一,是集革命家与教育家于一身的新中国第一任江西省省长。毛泽东曾称赞说:“邵式平不错,能武能文。”苏区时期他和方志敏一起创办了赣东北军政学校。抗日战争时期,他担任过陕北大学教务长、抗大二分校副校长。有着丰富的教育工作经验。1951年初,中央重工业部决定在南昌建一个飞机厂,指名邵式平担任建厂委员会主任。建厂之初,困难很多,矛盾重重,最突出的问题是技术力量缺乏。这年8月,邵式平决定办洪都技工养成学校,并自告奋勇担任校长。
Shao Siping is one of the founders of the Soviet Area of Northeast Jiangxi and the Red Army and the Soviet Area of Fujian and Jiangxi Provinces.
