新疆精河县位于天山西部北坡中段准葛尔盆地南缘,地处312国道旁,精河南山鼠疫自然疫源地,1956年被证实为典型的长尾黄鼠—灰旱獭双宿主鼠疫自然疫源地。疫源地面积600㎞2,历史上曾发生过2次人间鼠疫,死亡多人。该疫源地动物间鼠疫流行比较猛烈,为了进一步掌握该疫源地动物鼠疫流行动态,2009年5月7日～9月20日,精河县疾病预防控制中心严格按照《全国鼠疫监测方案》对南山鼠疫疫源地开展了鼠疫监测防治工作,现报告如下。
