Objective To investigate the clinical value of low-dose MSCT in diagnosis and activity determination of smear-negative active pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods Eighty patients with smear-positive active pulmonary tuberculosis admitted from February 2012 to December 2012 in our hospital were enrolled in this study. They were scanned with conventional CTMS (120kV, 200mAs) MSCT to form a control group. Patients were given low dose (0.5 ~ 48h) 120kV, 50mAs) MSCT scan, the formation of the observation group, comparative analysis of the two scanning methods of various active tuberculosis CT signs the detection rate and scanning dose and other relevant information, compared with whether significant differences. Results There was no significant difference in the detection rate of CT signs of smear-negative active tuberculosis between conventional and low-dose MSCT scan (P> 0.05). The low-dose scanning radiation dose was only 1/4 of the conventional dose. Conclusion Low-dose MSCT has important clinical value in the diagnosis and activity determination of active pulmonary tuberculosis and can be applied to clinical practice.
