今天我们举行换届改选。今年是我们研究会成立31周年,又是《汉字文化》杂志创立22周年。这两件事情都值得庆祝纪念,所以今天的大会有多重意义。三十多年前,我们国家的政治空气发生了很大的变化,不同学术观点得以发表。我们学会的前身汉字现代化研究会就是在这样的条件下,由袁晓园先生首倡发起而成立的。记得1973年袁晓园先生带着她的拼音方案回国时,只在北京大学临湖轩不到二十人参加的会上报告过她的方案。会上除应酬性发言之外,对袁先生的方案提出具体意见的只有语言研究所李荣先生一人。1979年袁先生再次回国
Today we hold a general election. This year marks the 31st anniversary of the founding of our institute and the 22nd anniversary of the founding of “Chinese culture” magazine. Both of these things are worth celebrating, so today’s conference has multiple meanings.
