李维汉是中国共产党人在民族理论方面的理论家,对我国民族理论的形成和发展作出了重要贡献。建国后,李维汉坚持把马列主义民族理论同我国民族实际相结合,提出了一系列适合我国国情的建议。他提出并论述了社会主义民族的概念,强调民族自决并不适合我国国情,探索了少数民族地区的改革道路,对马克思主义民族理论中国化做出了贡献。
Li Weihan is a theorist of the Chinese Communists on the theory of the nation and made an important contribution to the formation and development of our national theory. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, Li Weihan insisted on combining the Marxist-Leninist theory of ethnic groups with the reality of our nation and put forward a series of suggestions that are suitable to our national conditions. He put forward and discussed the concept of the socialist nation, emphasized that the national self-determination is not suitable for our national conditions, explored the reform path in ethnic minority areas and made contributions to the sinicization of Marxist national theory.
