作爲“命令之體”之一,宋代敕榜乃戒勵百官、曉諭軍民而榜示之皇帝詔令文書(“王言”文書),乃向官員、民衆傳達政令資訊之重要載體。宋代敕榜主要用於招安變亂、安撫災患、引導朝論等處,較其他朝代使用頻繁,並與詔書、黄榜等文書有一定關聯。敕榜之撰寫、頒佈自有一套制度規範。不過,在實際的頒行過程中,朝令夕改、官員執行等因素,時常對敕榜的真實效用産生影響;而士庶、軍民對於敕榜之態度及應對,又體現着王朝統治在現實中所遭遇的互動與挑戰。
