文章认为邓小平深刻认识到社会的发展必需物质层面和精神层面的双重推动力 ,他认为中国社会主义现代化的主要精神动力是———对马克思主义的充分信仰、为人民利益而奋斗的信念、中华民族的爱国主义精神 ,这三者构成一个统一的、缺一不可的精神动力系统。基于此 ,在社会全面发展过程中 ,必须“两手都要硬” ,才能发挥中国的优势 ,在物质文明和精神文明上都超越资本主义。文章还结合“讲政治”、“三个代表”、国际交流的实际来谈社会主义现代化精神动力系统的建设
The article holds that Deng Xiaoping has profoundly realized that the development of society requires the dual impetus of the material and spiritual levels. He believes that the main spiritual power of China’s socialist modernization is the belief that Marxism fully sums up and strives for the interests of the people. China The patriotic spirit of the nation constitutes a united and indispensable spiritual driving force. Based on this, in the process of all-round social development, we must “make both hands harder” in order to give full play to China’s advantages and surpass capitalism both in material and spiritual civilizations. The article also discusses the construction of the spiritual driving force of socialism with the reality of “stressing politics”, “three represents” and international exchanges
