Tom Dolan is America’s best man’s swimmer, world champion and world record holder. But as long as he is in the swimming pool, he can not breathe easily and spontaneously because he has allergies and asthma caused by exercise so that he can inhale only about 20% of the oxygen of ordinary people. This is almost an insurmountable obstacle for a swimmer, not to mention that he can not take advantage of medical treatment, because most drugs contain banned FINA ingredients. Even so, he is still the hope for the Americans to win the gold medal at this century-long Olympic Games as he is the best man swimmer since Mark Spitz in 1972.
