在空间“社会性转向”的脉络下,爱德华·索亚追溯一条从20世纪末至今的批判社会理论思想史的重构性轨迹,梳理出对空间进行当代重申而又藏而不露的叙事,持续地为社会理论注入“地理学想象”的维度。作为从列斐伏尔延伸下来的一个理论支脉,与哈维、卡斯特尔都市政治经济学路径不同的是,索亚的“地理学想象”更多地延续了法兰克福学派的文化批评精神,试图通过后现代转向、文化转向与空间转向的三重结合以及空间正义、区域民主这样的战斗口号,实现资本主义批判的再激进化。
