长切屑缠绕在工件或刀具上,能划伤已加工表面、损坏刀具和伤害工人,有时甚至被迫停车清理切屑。短切屑则向远处飞散影响操作。杂乱的切屑使运输困难。因此切屑对提高效率、保证精度和安全生产都有很大的影响。价格昂贵的数控机床(NC)和群控机床(DNC),虽然自动化程度高,往往仍离不开人工清除切屑,这也是机械加工自动线利用率不高的重要因素。可见,切屑处理不好是向切削加工自动化和无人化过渡的严重障碍。
Long chips are wound around workpieces or cutters, scratching the machined surface, damaging cutters and injuring workers, sometimes even stopping to clear the chips. Short-cut chips scatter in the distance to affect the operation. Messy chips make transportation difficult. Therefore, the chip to improve efficiency, ensure accuracy and safety have a great impact. Expensive NC and DNC machines, although highly automated, are often still inseparable from the manual removal of chips, which is an important factor in the utilization of automatic machining lines. As can be seen, poor chip handling is a serious obstacle to the automation and unmanned transition to cutting.
