比赛所使用的场地将是UNLV(内华达大学拉斯维加斯分校)的主场托马斯-马克中心。
August 5, 2005, NBA president David Stern officially announced at the headquarters in New York, 2007 All-Star weekend will be held in the famous casino Las Vegas. The venue used for the competition will be the Thomas Mark Center, home to the UNLV (University of Nevada, Las Vegas). From this decision, we can see some of the league’s future developments: First, it shows that the NBA held an annual All-Star Weekend with major changes in principle. All-Star Weekend was held in cities with NBA teams. Now this unwritten rule is broken. In the future, cities that are interested in hosting NBA All-Star Weekends may win the bid by way of voting (and host cities not only in the United States, Paris has already applied for the 2009 or 2010 Star Weekend ), Which is Stern’s ultimate goal of making the NBA a world-class event. Second, the taboo iron law that the NBA has been able to draw the line with gambling has since been broken. Although the NBA had previously stated that it was not considering relocating NBA events to Las Vegas until Las Vegas had banned the NBA game as a gambler, from this all-star weekend, the headquarters did not It appears that the two parties have reached an agreement on this issue. Third, all walks of life in Las Vegas and the NBA have long wanted to set up a team here, but they are not moved by the headquarters. Since the weekend opened with narrow doors, everything was afraid of the first occasion, Second, there are two, there are three, the formation of the team in Las Vegas in the future is just around the corner.
