Improvements in technology and design have produced both voltage-controlled and local oscillator devices, reducing the size. Reduce power consumption, and improve the overall electrical performance. Due to the ever-changing threat environment, the increasing complexity of the next generation of electronic warfare systems adds to the burden of providing more complicated subsystems to designers of voltage-controlled oscillators and local oscillators.
