在很长的一段时间内,数字电视传输主要采用ASI传输方式,尽管该传输方式技术较为成熟,也能提供部分高清的电视节目,但随着数字电视的发展,ASI的传输方式正逐渐被IP的传输方式所取代,这既是数字电视新兴业务发展的要求,也是IP组播和RRPP环网相关技术逐步成熟的结果。IP传输方式的运用提升了数字电视系统的可扩展性,经过近几年的发展,基于IP组播和RRPP环网的数字电视传输技术已非常成熟,是本文论述的重点。
