在齿轮加工过程中,内孔及端面的磨削是重要工序之一,这道工序在很大程度上决定了齿轮的质量和齿形精加工的经济性。一般如果能保证节圆与内孔同心度在0.04~0.06mm以内,齿形不进行磨齿,也能得到较好的啮合精度和降低啮合噪音。这道工序的关键是必须采用以齿轮节圆来定位的专门夹具。所谓节圆定位准确地说是利用齿侧来定位。为了消除齿形过渡曲线对定心精度的影响,并使工件装夹方便,要求滚珠(柱)与齿侧的接触点离齿顶的最小距离Δh≥0.4m_os,其中M_os为齿轮的端面模数。
