时尚理论中“移动的性感区域”，理论是对西方服装中色情与端庄辩证法的简单曲解。西方服装中每一种时尚都既包含有色情的因素也包含有端庄的因素，时尚的变化就是这两者之间矛盾的变化。色情与端庄的辩证法能够成为西方服装主导性的原则主要是基督教文化和异教文化共同作用的结果。
