风信子(Hyacinthus Orientalis L.)花色丰富,香气宜人,可作盆栽、水养、瓶插和花坛等用。经催花处理后可提早开花,在元旦、春节大量上市,是国际上一种重要花卉,也是国内群众所喜爱的一种球根花卉。上海原是我国风信子的生产基地,但由于不注意品种复壮及病毒防治等原因,以致病毒严重,品种退化,品质低劣。到1963年风信子在市场上已销声匿迹了。现已无生产面积,零星种植的老品种也仅存无几,濒临绝种。为恢复和发展风信子生产,引进国外优良品种加快繁殖及进行脱除病毒的研究已
