人类学的实践不仅通过语言方式,亦可作为印象的实践,印象人类学是理解民族志影像(照片、电影、录像)的作用的一种新框架。民族志影像,将这样的田野经验印象(准确说是接近于)部分固化,将语言表述下人类学实践难以明晰的、经验的、直接的部分外显。弗拉哈迪、鲁什、加德纳、现代巴西原住民影像制作运动等影像方式的表述,直接呈现了以语言表述的人类学遗漏的民族志现实中微妙的扰动、质感,以及调查者与被调查者之间的关系。扩大民族志影像的作用,有助于将人类学带回“科学”与“艺术”未分化的印象,由此也必将丰富以语言表述的人类学实践。
Anthropological practice not only through language but also as an imprinting practice.
