当今高等师范院校书法教育的外在困境主要表现为重理轻文的社会功利、书法价值迷失及就业市场导向等多方面原因;内部困境突出表现为教学目标不明确、教学理论和实践脱节以及教学效益低下;书法教育内外困境的根源集中于社会观念问题和高校自身教学质量、教学方法和学术水准等等;高等师范院校书法教育突破内外困境需要社会力量支撑和学院自身内部的教学质量提升等多方面努力。
