目的探讨糖尿病患者与健康人红细胞形貌和纳米机械性质的差异。方法采用原子力显微镜(AFM)对10例2型糖尿病患者和8名健康志愿者的红细胞的形貌和机械性质进行纳米力学测量。结果 2型糖尿病患者的红细胞比健康人的硬度和黏附力都明显增大,细胞的高度、最高点与最低点的差值显著降低,而直径增大。结论 AFM为单细胞水平上表征红细胞的病理特征检查提供了有力工具。
Objective To investigate the difference of erythrocyte morphology and nanomechanical properties between diabetic and healthy people. Methods The morphology and mechanical properties of erythrocytes in 10 type 2 diabetic patients and 8 healthy volunteers were measured by atomic force microscopy (AFM). Results The hardness and adhesion of erythrocyte in patients with type 2 diabetes were significantly higher than those in healthy people, and the difference between the height, the highest point and the lowest point was significantly decreased and the diameter increased. Conclusion AFM provides a powerful tool for characterizing the pathological features of red blood cells at the single cell level.
