备受社会各界关注的新闻立法问题有关部门正在进行认真的研究、论证。去年的九届全国人大三次会议期间，共有95位全国人大代表就此提出立法议案。制定新闻法的问题一直受到全国人大的高度重视。七届、八届全国人大常委会都将新闻法列入立法规划，有关部门成立了专门的起草小组 The relevant departments of the news and legislation issues that have drawn much attention from all sectors of the society are conducting serious studies and demonstrations.
