2006年6月17日晚上,《寻找紫菱》第七场在湖南卫视播出,为琼瑶新剧女主角甄选活动画上了句号。来自北京的02号选手张嘉倪在万多名选手中脱颖而出成为幸运儿,出演新版《一帘幽梦》的女主角“紫菱”。湖南卫视与琼瑶联手拍摄新版电视连续剧《一帘幽梦》,开拍之前就已与众不同:采用电视海选的形式选拔女主角——“紫菱”。从今年4月开始,寻找紫菱的活动组分别奔赴沈阳、北京、上海、长沙、广州、成都6个城市进行甄选活动。每到一处,报名者踊跃,报名总人数突破万人。各个赛区在由湖南卫视派来的导演组进行初试后,把初步入选的“紫菱”资料带回长沙,然后由六大赛区导演与琼瑶的儿媳、新版《一帘幽梦》制作人之一何绣琼女士共同筛选,决定最终入围
