物质的运动有惯性,同样,人的思维运动也有惯性。人们常用线性思维和平面思维来思考和解决问题,这种思路用得多了,就会成为一种“固定观念”或习惯性思路。而这种“固定观念”或习惯性思路,常常会使我们头脑僵化,从而使我们的视野过分狭窄,磨灭思维的创造性。思维学家曾举过这样简单的例子来说明这种情况:请用六根火柴棒摆成四个等边三角形。许多人在一个平面上左摆右摆,各种方法都试过了,就是摆不出四个等边三角形。有一个思维灵活的人,他思考了一会儿,说,有办法了:用三根火柴棒先在一个平面上摆成一个等边三角形,再用另三根火柴棒在这个三角形上搭成一个四面体,正好是四个三角形。如下图所示:
There is inertia in the movement of matter. In the same way, there is inertia in the movement of human thinking. People often use linear thinking and plane thinking to think and solve problems. This kind of thinking is used much more often, and it will become a kind of “fixed idea” or habitual thinking. This kind of “fixed ideas” or habitual thinking often makes our mind rigid, thus making our vision too narrow and obliterating the creativity of thinking. Thinkers have cited such a simple example to illustrate this situation: Please use six matchsticks to make four equilateral triangles. Many people swing to the left and right in a plane. All methods have been tried, and there are no four equilateral triangles. There is a person with a flexible thinking. He thinks for a while and says that there are ways: first use three match sticks to form an equilateral triangle on one plane, and then use three other match sticks to form a tetrahedron on the triangle. It is exactly four triangles. As shown below:
