May 1993 Federal Republic of Germany railway has completed the first phase of high-speed transport development plan. 60 ICE train all put into normal operation. The second phase of planning is underway; it will enter the third phase by the year 2000. The first phase involved the construction of a new 100km Mannheim-Stuttgart line; 327km of Hannover-Würzburg; and 2,300km of other modern lines, many of which traveled up to 200km / h.
