The traditional English teaching mode is teacher-centered and knowledge-instruction-based. This kind of teaching mode makes English learners over-depend on their teachers and lack of the ability of autonomous learning and interest of learning English. With the rapid development of science and technology, Internet, which is becoming increasingly essential methods of modern education, provides for English learners a broad realistic learning environment and helps them acquire knowledge in all respects. This paper gives a brief introduction of the history of CALL (Computer-aided Language Learning) and mainly illustrates some important Internet tools and resources, their relationship with CALL and how to set up a new teaching mode to promote TEFL.
