最近,诺瓦化学公司聚苯乙烯业务总裁表示,由于苯乙烯单体的生产成本增加和供应紧张,聚苯乙烯价格上涨和供应吃紧的市场状况将会持续,甚至延长到2005年末或2006年初。目前,苯乙烯单体价格的急剧上涨主要是受苯及乙烯价格上涨的影响,苯约占苯乙烯生产成本的70％,乙烯约占30％。迄今为止,今年的苯乙烯单体现货价格已上涨1倍。价格上涨对高抗冲聚苯乙烯为原料的丁苯橡胶构成冲击。与此同时,巴斯夫和诺瓦化学公司宣布从8月1日起提高EPS珠粒的价格。
Recently, the president of polystyrene business of Nova Chemical Co., Ltd. said that due to the increase of production cost of styrene monomer and supply, the price of polystyrene and tight supply of the market conditions will continue, or even extended to late 2005 or early 2006. At present, the sharp rise in the price of styrene monomer is mainly affected by the rising price of benzene and ethylene. Benzene accounts for about 70% of styrene production cost and ethylene accounts for about 30%. So far this year, styrene monomer spot prices have risen twice. The price hikes impact styrene-butadiene rubber, which is made from high-impact polystyrene. In the meantime, BASF and Nova Chemical announced the price increase of EPS beads starting from August 1.
