乐山市地方电力股份有限公司是四川省成立的第一家市一级地方电力股份制企业。自1988年4月成立以来,截止1989年10月止,筹集入股资金已达7611万元,已投入建设小水小火电厂6座、输电线路两条。1989年度预计实现利润40万元,1990年可望实现利润500万元,1991年将实现利润1000万元。在短短的一年半时间内,股份制在发展地方电力中取得了可喜的成绩,是行之有效的方法。
