金属基复合材料是当今世界复合材料领域里研究的重点和热点,也是正在探索、开发的高技术之一。它比普通金属材料重量轻,比强度、比模量高等优点;它同非金属基复合材料相比,具有较高的剪切强度和刚度,良好的高温、低温特性和热稳定性,很强的耐蚀性和可用电阻焊、扩散连接、纤焊等方法进行加工,且当采用品须,颗粒等不连续增强材料做增强体时,可用常规的金属压力加工设备制造、二次加工。但是,目前金属基复合材料在制造方法和加工手段等方面,还存在一些急待解决的问题。
