宁夏现有人口630万,其中回族219万,占全区总人口的34.77%,另外还有满、蒙古、东乡等46个散居少数民族,少数民族人口占总人口的35.42%。作为我国五大自治区之一,宁夏回族自治区一直保持着民族团结、宗教和顺、社会稳定的良好局面。可以说,宁夏的民族团结,是我国各族人民大团结的光辉典范,是中华民族强大凝聚力的重要体现,是党的民族政策优越性和生命力的有力印证。
Ningxia has a population of 6.3 million, of which 2.19 million are Hui people, accounting for 34.77% of the total population in the region. There are 46 scattered ethnic minorities in Manchuria, Mongolia and Dongxiang, with the minority population accounting for 35.42% of the total population. As one of the five autonomous regions of our country, the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has maintained a good situation of national unity, religious conformity and social stability. It can be said that Ningxia’s ethnic unity is a glorious example of the great unity of all ethnic groups in our country, an important embodiment of the strong cohesiveness of the Chinese nation, and a strong proof of the superiority and vitality of the party’s ethnic policy.
