From 1979 to 1983, a comprehensive study was carried out in the spontaneous combustion of coal in long-wall coal faces at each mine in Miceche. Volatiles calculated from the weight of ash-free dry coal most fully characterize the spontaneous combustion of coal seams that are mined in these mines, with an average of 20-35% of these volatiles. The activation energy of coal is 40-70 kJ / mol. Data on 214 facets from the “Pechinia”, “Vashash”, “Beitut”, “Koshchute” and “Zobak” mines were statistically processed. Among these mines, 103 facets with a coal seam thickness of 4m or less are stratified mining, and 60 facets in the thick seam are stratified mining, of which 51 facets are mined by the roof caving method. One-fifth of the working face adopts forward mining, more than half of the working face adopts backward mining, and the rest is mined using a hybrid method.
