2003年8月份中国农业科学院研究员唐益雄教授在河北邢台考查植物资源时,意外地在内邱发现了菜芙蓉植物,这种植物花朵艳丽,且有香味,一直被作为赏花种植。菜芙蓉的重现,不仅是一种濒危植物的重生,也不单是生物界又添一新成员,更可贵的是这种植物能提取高达6%植物黄酮,生物黄酮是医学界公认预防和治疗心脑血管病的首选药物,心脑血管病又是影响人们健康
In August 2003, Prof. Tang Yixiong, researcher of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, unexpectedly discovered the vegetable of hibiscus plant in Xingtai, Hebei Province. When the plant flower was beautiful and fragrant, it was planted as a blossoming flower. The reappearance of vegetable hibiscus is not only the rebirth of an endangered plant, nor is it just a new member of the biological world. What is even more valuable is that this plant can extract up to 6% of plant flavonoids.
