有关魏良辅尚有疑义的六个问题,本文研究所得结论是:“水磨调”之名肇始沈宠绥《曲律须知》,为与昆山土腔、昆山腔有别,而将由魏良辅集思广益改良创发之新调称作“水磨调”。改良创发“水磨调”之“曲圣”实为曲家兼能医之太仓魏良辅,而非官山东左布政使之豫章魏良辅。“水磨调”原为清唱曲,梁辰鱼歌以所制《浣溪纱》传奇,乃用为剧曲而为今日昆剧之主体。魏良辅之《南词引正》应为后来《曲律》之原本。《曲律》为芝庵《唱论》以后重要之唱曲理论著作。王世贞《曲藻》之南北曲异同说应袭自魏良辅《曲律》。顾坚其人事迹,不应轻易抹煞,何况吴新雷先生已证明确有其人。
