由于当今的减速器承受高载荷,减速器齿轮产生高热量,导致使用寿命的降低,因此,选择合理的冷却方式成了减速器选择工作的重要部分。 在密闭的减速器中保持适当的油温这对确保传动齿轮的寿命是很重要的。若干年来,由于设计、材料、制造方法的改进,使减速器的机械功率不断提高,但冷却就显得更加重要。所有这些改进导致了高负载,同样,也增加了传动装置的热量。因此,选择减速器不仅要考虑机械功率,而且要考虑相应的冷却方式,以保持一定的热功率。
