冶金部于1985年7月20日至25日在大连市金县召开了全国钢铁企业第四次节能工作会议。会上,首先传达了李鹏副总理在全国节能工作会议上的讲话;钢铁司庄沂司长作了近几年钢铁工业节能的工作报告,鞍钢、杭钢、四川省冶金局等二十个单位作了节能经验介绍;落实了1985～1987年节能计划指标;最后周传典副部长作了题为《一定要把节能这个战略重点抓好》的总结,并提出以下要求:
The Ministry of Metallurgy convened the fourth energy conservation work conference for national steel companies in Jinxian, Dalian from July 20 to 25, 1985. At the meeting, first delivered the speech of Deputy Premier Li Peng at the national energy conservation work conference; the Director of the Iron and Steel Industry Department made a report on the energy saving of the iron and steel industry in recent years, and 20 units such as Anshan Iron and Steel, Hangzhou Iron and Steel, and Sichuan Provincial Metallurgical Bureau.
