为定量地说明层次结构的合理性,研究了组织中知识和信息交流的折衷问题。从深度和广度两个维度来刻画知识,代理需要在两个维度间做折衷,代理间的信息交流是非完美的。将组织结构作为决策变量,证明了层次结构是对代理知识的最优配置。在这种结构下,代理间的信息传递结构表现为多个信息传递链,每个链呈现金字塔结构:底层代理处理外部信息,上层代理处理内部信息,由下向上,知识的广度逐渐增大,规模减小。说明了该结论与组织扁平化的理念是一致的。
In order to quantitatively explain the rationality of the hierarchy, the trade-off between knowledge and information in the organization was studied. Depicting knowledge from two dimensions of depth and breadth, agents need to make trade-offs between two dimensions, and information exchange between agents is not perfect. Using the organizational structure as a decision variable proves that the hierarchical structure is the optimal configuration of agent knowledge. Under this structure, the information transmission structure between agents is represented by multiple information transmission chains, each chain presents a pyramid structure: the bottom agents handle external information, and the upper agents handle internal information. From the bottom up, the breadth of knowledge increases. Reduced in scale. This shows that this conclusion is consistent with the concept of flat organization.
